Bio
If you are reading this at the moment, it means that you have already seen my proyects which I hope you are enjoying.
I was 6 years old when I started studying music. When I was 14 I founded my first ska band called The Cyprinidians Ska Band and we played in the 19th International Ska-Reggae Festival in Getxo. In 2000 we recorded two original songs for Brixton Cats and The Rudies compilation.
In 2002 I moved to Barcelona to study jazz piano and voice at the Taller de Musics. In 2005 I moved to La Habana to continue studying and began a new project calledd Ache Colectivo. With this band I played at the Raza Latina Festiva and Festi Arte Festival in Tijuana and in Mexico City. While I living in Mexico City I was contracted to work in Seoul, South Korea with the band Trio Señorita.
In 2010 I moced to Rotterdam in The Netherlands in order to complete my batchelor in latin and brazilian music in the World Music Department, in the Rotterdam Conservatory, Codarts. In 2016 I finished my masters degree in Utrecht Conservatory, HKU.
After tcompleting my studies, I believed it was time to get to know Brazil better and experience all of its musical culture. That´s why in 2017 I packed my bags and I went to Rio de Janeiro to live. There I studied as a singer in the Oficinas de Música Universal, I studied piano and cavaquinho at the Escola Portatil de Música and I played with the female percussion band called Bambas de Saia. Besides that, I taught piano and voice at the Elite Musical School while I worked as a volunteer teaching piano and melodica for a project called Favela Brass with who I played at the Rio Jazz Festival. This was an important part of my life as it served me as inspiration for my first discographic work called Basil.
The power of the music is inmense and anyone who plays music know this. One of the characteristics of music is its therapeutic power. That´s why I did a Masters in Music Theraphy. A labour of love.
